• Slip stitch and mosaic knitting
• Written versus charted instructions
• working with multiple yarns at the same time

What is the required skill level?

Advanced beginner/intermediate knitter
Students should have a knowledge of how to knit, purl, cast on and off. 

Materials needed but not included with this course:

• 2-3 colours of your preferred weight yarn with appropriate needle size. Contrasting colours are recommended.
• knitting needles suitable for your chosen yarn.

48 hours before the class you'll receive the link for Zoom and the class handout. Please note there is no homework for this class.

About Florence Spurling:

Florence Spurling is a knitwear designer who specialises in handcrafted and embellished textiles. Florence obtained a Masters in textile design from the Royal College of Art, London, before moving to New York in 2013 to further her design career.

She designs under her brand Florence Spurling Studio with knitted textiles, embroidery, and embellishment. Knit, crochet, beading, embroidery and fabric manipulation are continuously developed in the studio’s unique aesthetic to produce seasonal collections that are feminine, highly tactile, innovative and very decorative.
